About the event
LGBT World Beside nominated for the 2025 Appeltjes van Oranje!
We’re proud to share that our organization — the only LGBT+ initiative in the Netherlands — has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Appeltjes van Oranje award. Presented annually by the Oranje Fonds, this royal award has honored impactful social initiatives for 21 years.
Out of 348 applicants, we’re one of three finalists in the category “Equal opportunities for everyone.”
This recognition highlights our work with LGBT+ refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in the Netherlands.
Public voting is open from 19 to 28 May, and your vote truly makes a difference! Anyone worldwide can vote using a valid email address.
