Spelletjesdag 19-04-2025

On April 19, 2025, a Spelletjesdag event for LGBT+ asylum seekers and refugees from post-Soviet countries took place in Amsterdam. The event started at 13:00 and lasted until 18:00, with around 40 people participating. Since the date was close to Easter, the organisers made the event special by providing coloured eggs, a traditional Easter food.

During the event, participants discussed long-term relationships among LGBT+ people and same-sex marriage. Inga and Taisiia, a couple who had moved from Russia to the Netherlands and recently gotten married, joined the discussion as special guests and shared their experiences. Participants also learned about the different ways they can register their relationships (marriage, civil union, partnership agreement).
