Spelletjesdag 24-05-2025

On May 24, 2025, a Spelletjesdag event took place in Amsterdam with more than 30 LGBT+ asylum seekers and refugees participating. The event started at 13:00 and lasted until 18:00.

Three people celebrated their birthdays on that day or shortly before. The event participants marked the occasion with cake and flowers.

There was a discussion session about the topics and format of future information sessions. Afterwards, some participants played Bingo, and the winners received prizes.

This was the sixth and final event of the 'Spelletjesdag 2024–2025' project, funded by the Oranje Fonds, the Haëlla Foundation, and Het Blauwe Fonds. After a break, LGBT World Beside will continue organising such events due to their popularity and the value they bring to LGBT+ asylum seekers and status holders in the Netherlands.
