LGBT World Beside at WinterPANN

On December 14, 2024, members of LGBT World Beside had a wonderful opportunity to attend WinterPANN, the winter edition of one of the Netherlands’ most iconic LGBTQIA+ events, hosted at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Organized by the PANN Foundation, WinterPANN is known for creating a safe, inclusive, and energetic space where LGBTQIA+ youth can celebrate their identities freely and joyfully.

This year’s edition featured a range of exciting zones, including pop and dance floors, a karaoke lounge, a silent disco, and the ever-energetic Rave Cave. The diversity of experiences allowed everyone to find their rhythm and enjoy the night in a way that felt authentic to them. Our members were thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic and welcoming environment.

What made the evening even more meaningful was the chance to engage with others and share who we are. We had the opportunity to present LGBT World Beside to fellow attendees, talk about our mission, and exchange ideas for future collaborations. Our team members spoke about the values that drive our work and how they continue to shape our journey as an organization. One of the highlights of the night was sharing the behind-the-scenes story of preparing our boat for Utrecht Pride — a project that required creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart.

We are deeply grateful to PANN for organizing such a vibrant and inclusive event and for giving us the opportunity to be part of it. We left the night energized, inspired, and full of hope — and we can’t wait to return next year, ready for even more dancing, laughter, and love.
