WRKfor and Psy4Queer Launch Partnership

2 July 2026 – WRKfor and Psy4Queer have entered into a partnership to support the mental health and well-being of newly arrived LGBTQ+ refugees in the Netherlands.
As part of this collaboration, the organisations will:
• Organise joint educational lectures, workshops, and community events for participants.
• Exchange professional knowledge and expertise between their specialists – but only aggregated professional knowledge, the confidentiality of all client information will remain strictly protected.
• Cooperate as information partners by promoting each other's activities and raising awareness of available support services.
About organisations
WRKfor is a social enterprise that removes barriers so newcomers to the Netherlands can fully utilise their talents and skills and contribute to their host society more quickly.
The organisation's main areas of work are:
• Psychosocial support for refugees;
• Guidance for children and families;
• Regional scaling and capacity building – for municipalities and government.
WRKfor provides its services free of charge in selected municipalities in Ukrainian, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Tigrinya, English, and Dutch.
LGBT World Beside is a community organisation that supports LGBTQ+ refugees by fostering inclusion, resilience, and equal participation in society.
The organisation's main areas of work are:
• Psychosocial and peer support for LGBTQ+ refugees and migrants;
• Community building and social inclusion;
• Advocacy, awareness-raising, and cooperation with public institutions and NGOs to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Project Psy4Queer offers free psychological support to LGBTQ+ refugees from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia living in the Netherlands.
