This year, LGBT World Beside joins Utrecht Canal Pride for the third time.
For us, this boat is more than a celebration. It is a place of visibility, connection, freedom, and belonging, especially for LGBTQ+ refugees who had to leave behind their homes, families, friends, and sometimes everything they knew, simply because they wanted to live safely and be themselves.
For many people on our boat, Pride is not only a party. It is the first time feeling accepted. The first time feeling safe. The first time being visible without fear.
When you join our boat, you are not only celebrating Pride -you are standing next to LGBTQ+ refugees and showing that nobody should face their journey alone.
On board, we will have a DJ, music, drinks, snacks, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can celebrate together.
